The changing blossoms of different varieties of lilies

The varying colors of lilies can be viewed at different times in two stages: the first and second stages.

Asiatic Hybrids

Season: Mid-July to early August (first stage)
The familiar Sukashiyuri (Lilium maculatum) blossoms in this season. Yellow, orange and white flowers close to the original genus cover the fields.

Oriental Hybrids

Season: Early August to late August (second stage)
This stage sees a transformation from the Sukashiyuri (Lilium maculatum) to Yamayuri (Lilium auratum) such as Casablancas or Starfighters. Large-flowering red and pink lilies with a wonderful fragrance blossom at this time.
